"There were echoes that restructuring and insolvency activity was going to increase exponentially... We haven't seen that in the office. Our economy is resilient," said the SRS Legal partner. The lawyer - for whom the legislation on this matter is adequate, after the 2022 changes - argues that the bank's support for the business fabric has managed to prevent a significant increase in insolvencies in Portugal, but warns that this aid can work "like a band-aid". "Oxygen balloons cannot be a postponement of problems. Reorganization must be put into practice," he warned.
