Mariana Caldeira de Saravia, Partner of the Employment department and coordinator of Human Capital at SRS Legal, based on the daily contact the firm has with companies and their Human Resources areas, as well as some forums in which they participate, believes that the attitude and approach of companies regarding the inclusion of people with disabilities is "very variable".
The lawyer guarantees that there are several companies with "enormous sensitivity" to the issue and that already "complied" with this system even before the law existed, with many of them "currently going far beyond the quota and are clearly prepared for the inclusion of people with disabilities".
The SRS partner also recalled that there were companies that, as the end of the transition period approached, reacted and sought to comply with the quota. "I believe that these companies are not yet prepared, but rather in a learning phase of the process of including people with disabilities," she said. "Many of the companies included in this group will not have, at the moment, 100 workers, nor do they foresee having, in 2024, 75 workers", he added.
