SRS Legal is proud to announce the hiring of Paulo de Sá e Cunha and Cátia Muchacho, who will take up positions in the new area of Criminal and Sanctions Law, strengthening the firm's offer of specialized services.
Paulo de Sá e Cunha, SRS Legal's new Consultant, is widely recognized as one of the leading specialists in Economic Criminal Law and Compliance in Portugal. With more than 30 years' experience, Paulo’s career includes leading prestigious legal teams, intervening in highly complex cases and having a consolidated strategic vision in providing preventive advice and monitoring sensitive cases involving natural and legal persons. His work includes advising on matters related to the criminal liability of directors and corporate officers, economic and financial crimes, as well as the implementation of compliance programs in large organizations. Paulo de Sá e Cunha is also a reference in the training of new generations of lawyers, actively contributing to the development of legal practice in Portugal. Paulo is currently President of the Superior Council of the Portuguese Bar Association.
Cátia Muchacho, a new Associate at SRS Legal, is a lawyer with solid experience in Economic Criminal Law, Compliance and Internal Investigations. With a career marked by the monitoring of high-profile cases and technical rigor in the management of disputes, her work has stood out in legal advice to individuals and companies and in the development and implementation of compliance programs, internal investigations and the resolution of legal issues associated with administrative offenses. Cátia also has a strong presence in awareness-raising and training activities, promoting good business practices and reinforcing the importance of compliance in organizations.
Together with Mariana Brandão Rodrigues, Associate in SRS Legal's Dispute Resolution Department, they will both take on responsibility for a new area of practice in Criminal and Sanctions Law, including Economic Criminal Litigation, Misdemeanors, Compliance and Internal Investigations.
