SRS Legal provided legal advice to Almada City Council on drafting the internal regulations for collective self-consumption for energy production, through Self-Consumption Production Units, allocated to the Social Housing Building and sharing the surplus with schools, the library and municipal swimming pools.
This consultancy was part of the BundleUp Next - Next-Level PDA Methodology to Enhance Public and Private Sustainable Energy Projects, funded by the European Commission, which aims to support public and private entities in implementing projects to improve energy efficiency, boosting the aggregation and monitoring of projects, as well as the creation of renewable energy communities.
The SRS team involved was led by José Luís Moreira da Silva and also included João Filipe Graça, respectively Partner in charge and Associate at SRS Legal's Administrative Law and Public Procurement Department.
