SRS Legal once again took part in the JobShop at the Faculty of Law of the Portuguese Catholic University, aimed at undergraduate, master's and LL.M. students. The 2023 edition took place on 10 and 11 October under the theme New areas of practice in the practice of law.
On the 10th, Rui Miguel Magalhães - Senior People and Culture Officer - and Gonçalo Gago da Câmara and Rita Pidwell, respectively Associate and Trainee at SRS Legal, represented the firm. On the 11th, this role fell to Mariana Brito Carapinha - People and Culture Officer - and Marta Costa Belo and Inês Duarte Silva, Associate and Trainee at SRS Legal. Also on the 11th, Neuza Pereira de Campos, head of SRS Legal's Real Estate Department, took part in the Partner's Hour, a unique opportunity "to talk to decision-makers in law firms and other leading companies". Also on this day, Maria de Lancastre Valente, People and Culture Director at SRS Legal, took part in a round table discussion, where law students could take on the role of interviewers, in an informal approach with leading figures from the world of law and other professions related to the area of law.
In the weeks leading up to the JobShop, students were able to take part in various career sessions in preparation for the event, and then had the opportunity to take part in various activities and have direct contact with more than 60 organisations at the event
At the same time as the round tables, the more than 400 students who took part in the JobShop had access to the recruiting lounge, where the participating organisations were present, including law firms, consultancies, regulators and other organisations, providing a privileged space for students to get to know each other and their potential recruiters.
Finally, participants also had access to a virtual support webapp, a tool that helped students and recruiters follow all the JobShop activities.
