SRS has appointed Arv Sreedhar as Consultant to head up its practice in Singapore. Arv's primary role will be to coordinate and enhance SRS' presence and reach in the Asean region, as well as in the PRC, Hong Kong and the Indian subcontinent.
This appointment demonstrates the importance that SRS attributes to the greater Asian region, especially in the context of Asian investment in Portugal and the Lusophone world in general, and demonstrates the commitment of SRS in developing and enhancing relations between the Lusophone world and Asia. In particular, and similarly to Singapore's positioning as a platform for the Asean region, SRS recognises the importance of Portugal as an investment platform for the Lusophone world.
Arv is an Australian qualified lawyer having practised with leading international firms in Australia and Singapore. He has over 12 years of experience as a lawyer and investment banker encompassing debt capital markets, M&A, private equity and venture capital, and has provided legal and strategic advisory for a range of corporate, financial, governmental and high net worth groups across Australia, Switzerland, Asia and the Middle East.
Given his wealth of experience and geographic focus Arv is uniquely well placed to assist in taking SRS to the next level in terms of SRS' development of the Asian market, and we are already seeing the dividends flowing from his appointment.
SRS Senior Partner, Pedro Rebelo de Sousa, commented: "This is an exciting appointment for SRS and shows our ever increasing commitment to developing relations and business between Portugal and the Lusophone world and Asia, and is the logical next step in developing, and looking after, our Asian client base."
Arv Sreedhar commented: "I am delighted to be appointed as Consultant for SRS. SRS' vision and strategy for Asia is very exciting and unique. I believe that the opportunities that we can develop from the platform and relations that SRS has already developed in Asia are extraordinary given SRS' strategy and vision and I am looking forward to playing an active part in developing the SRS strategy in Asia to its full potential."
