SRS Advogados announces with great enthusiasm that Carlos Santos Ferreira has integrated, as of today, its team of consultants. With his entry, the Law Firm of Pedro Rebelo de Sousa reinforces its reputation as a leader in providing services to clients as well as the ability to deliver a service of excellence in all areas of financial and capital markets.
With a broad curriculum, especially in banking, Santos Ferreira was Chairman of the Board of Directors of CGD (2005-2008) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Millennium BCP (2008-2012).
Santos Ferreira was also Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Macau Airport (1989-1991), Director and subsequently Chairman of the Companhia de Seguros Mundial Confiança and Chairman of the General Meeting of Banco Pinto e Sotto Mayor (1992 to 1999 ) and Director and President of Império Bonança (1999-2003). In 2003 he assumed the Vice Presidency of Estoril Sol and was a Member of the General and Supervisory Board of EDP - Energias de Portugal, SA and Chairman of the Corporate Governance and Sustainability EDP (2006-2013).
Carlos Santos Ferreira, 64, graduated from the University of Lisbon Law School in 1971 and between 1977 and 1988, was a professor within the Faculdades de Direito da Universidade Clássica de Lisboa, Universidade Católica Portuguesa and Faculdade de Economia da Universidade Nova.
On this occasion Carlos Santos Ferreira has stated that: "this is a long awaited challenge and that the return to the practice of law is motivated by both the consistency and credibility of the project that is SRS Advogados."
