Message from Pedro Rebelo de Sousa - COVID-19

Dear clients
 
Given the current declaration of a global pandemic and the evolution of the outbreak of the coronavirus (Covid-19) in Portugal, and conscious of the responsibility that we have towards all our clients, lawyers and employees and their families, suppliers and other stakeholders, we have taken the decision that as of today and until 27 March inclusive, SRS Advogados will be operating under a remote work regime.
 
I would emphasise that, during this period, we will maintain all commitments towards our clients and other stakeholders, given that we have in place all the necessary processes to effectively ensure our services remotely.
 
In this context, all physical meetings will be replaced by video conferences (via Skype, Zoom, …), conference calls and/or e-mail, but we remain fully available and focused on our clients.
 
We are convinced that in this way we will contribute more effectively in controlling the spread of Covid-19. We believe that we must act in a responsible and diligent manner, and action is urgently needed.
 
Drastic measures need to be taken, but they are necessary so that we can save lives and make a difference to everyone who shares work, home and social environments with us. These are difficult times but such times reveal humanity, compassion and support for others.
 
We will be assessing and evaluating the situation on a daily basis and will keep you informed of developments.
