Gonçalo Anastácio was the moderator of the debate Lei da Concorrência e Tribunal da Concorrência (Competition Law and Competition Tribunal, if translated from Portuguese), promoted by ICC Portugal, which took place on 16 November at its premises.
The debate moderated by SRS Legal's Partner had Eurico Reis (Judge Emeritus Associate Justice, Lisbon Court of Appeal), Joaquim Vieira Peres (Partner at MLGTS), Manuel Pelicano Antunes (Public Prosecutor at the Competition, Appeal and Supervision Court), Miguel Sousa Ferro (Managing Partner at Milberg Sousa Ferro) and Rita Vasconcelos (Partner at Cruz Vilaça Advogados) as speakers.
This debate was part of the annual Competition Congress in Portugal, organised by ICC Portugal, the first all-Portuguese event on Competition.
The event featured five sessions, with topics aimed at both younger and more experienced professionals. It covered topics such as the improvement of competition in the Portuguese economy vis-à-vis the rest of the world, the performance of the Competition Authority in the last year, the best practices for the good execution of European funds and for a greater competitiveness of the national economy, as well as the companies' vision on how to reduce context costs and improve Portugal's Competition with the exterior.
