SRS Legal is pleased to announce the hiring of Alexandra Marques Sequeira as an Of Counsel and Bernardo Mendes de Meneses as an Associate, both joining the Employment and Social Security Department and reinforcing the firm's presence in Porto, as part of its ‘Go North’ strategic plan.
Alexandra Marques Sequeira has a solid career in labour and social security law. Her experience includes advising on restructuring processes, drafting internal regulations, negotiating and defining salary models, benefits and incentive plans, as well as disciplinary proceedings and employment litigation. She has also taught Labour Law and Social Security at the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave and the University of Minho.
Bernardo Mendes de Meneses is a young and promising lawyer, already experienced in the various areas of Employment Advice and Litigation.
”Our sustained growth already justified a permanent presence in the north of the country in the area of Employment law. The addition of Alexandra - with her recognised experience - and Bernardo allows us to achieve this goal, expanding the operations of the Department and SRS Legal, while bringing us even closer to our clients based or operating in the North”, say Ana Luísa Beirão and Mariana Caldeira de Sarávia, leaders of SRS Legal's Employment and Social Security Department.
“We are honoured to have Alexandra and Bernardo join our team, as it is a new and significant step in our expansion strategy in the north of the country, broadening the scope of our services to the essential areas of Employment and Social Security. Alexandra's experience and expertise in labour law, combined with Bernardo's dynamism, will be fundamental to strengthening the scope of the services we provide to our clients in the region, now offering a guarantee of proximity, which is essential to SRS Legal's standard of excellence,” say César Sá Esteves and Octávio Castelo Paulo, Managing Partners of SRS Legal.
SRS Legal has a multidisciplinary team focused on northern Portugal, led by Partner Nuno Miguel Prata (Corporate & Finance), which includes Francisco Castro Guedes and Diogo Feio (Tax), Paulo de Sá e Cunha (Criminal and Sanctions), Mónica Azevedo (Life Sciences & Healthcare) and now Alexandra Marques Sequeira and Bernardo Mendes de Meneses. SRS Legal set up its office in Porto in 2008, benefiting from a partnership with Andreia Lima Carneiro & Associados.
